Leland lived in Pampa, Texas during his teen years moved to [[Colorado Springs]]. Leland's grandparents, Barbara and Wesley Chapman, later joined the family and opened up a bail bonds office on the [[Hawaii (island)|Big Island]] of Hawaii.
