Greetings. I was pointed to your userpage because a user had a concern over the statement you have: "I hereby license all of my contributions (other than images and contribs to my userspace) under the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license. The images I upload will have their license info on the file page it is located at. My contribs and pages in my userspace are licensed under the Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported license." The problem with this is this license is not acceptable for Wikipedia. When you press edit and save it, "you agree to the Terms of Use, and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL. You agree that a hyperlink or URL is sufficient attribution under the Creative Commons license." You are welcome to dual license your contributions, but you are not allowed to make it more restrictive (so using CC-PD is fine, but CC-ND or CC-NC is not allowed). I am looking for at least two more reviews before I take it off the backlog.

Crazymonkey1123 (Jacob) T or M/Sign mine 00:45, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You already have three reviews. People who keep an eye on editor review can review you, or you can add {{editor review}} to your userpage to try to attract attention to it there. I'm not removing the helpme, but I would appreciate it if you did so. It's distracting from the other helpmes, and is probably not going to garner you much more attention. Thank you. you have a blank space between Never make personal attacks and never advertise.--Breawycker (talk to me!) Review Me! 01:25, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I looked at User_talk:Crazymonkey1123/Editnotice and the blank space is not there, but it is where the edit notice is showed. Crazymonkey1123 (Jacob) T or M/Sign mine 01:28, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Noticed you have two banners: one here (1) User talk:Crazymonkey1123/talk banner and one here (2) User talk:Crazymonkey1123/Editnotice. The first one has a you in the first sentence that should be a your. The second one has a your in the fourth sentence that should be a you're. For both, the first item under "Always..." has a for that should be a four. And in the second to last sentence a than that should be a thank. HeLmiT (talk) 23:28, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Transformers

Dear Crazymonkey1123…

My son is only 9 years old. He, BOTH, innocently & INTELLIGENTLY managed to create his own article for “Transformers Legends of Destiny”. In this article, he attempted to share a potential game “concept” of his very own. I am, not only proud but, IMPRESSED by his talent, confidence, intelligence, literacy, creativity & determination to TRY. I am not, however, IMPRESSED by your less than sympathetic approach to a little boy! Perhaps, in the future, you should ENCOURAGE children that hope to trail in the paths of yourself…and those like you. Our children are our future. Our children look to "role models”…oddly (in this very case) you are one of them. I hope that this message will help you to take a more PERSONAL approach to the very future you tenderly hold in your hands…with the very words you write. There is NO reason to report my son. Your “deleting” him sends message enough. BTW, maybe you COULD HAVE offered other forums where his work might have been welcomed.

Thanks for your time, Flareblitz157’s MOM01:04, 8 May 2011 (UTC)~ PS: My son is “on the spectrum” (if you cared enough to read this far) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Flareblitz157 (talkcontribs) 01:04, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Keep the speedy deletion tag on the article. An administrator will come around and decide if the article should be deleted or not. Crazymonkey1123 (Jacob) T or M/Sign mine 04:10, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why don't you make the decision for yourself, and read the article and investigate before editing it and putting a speedy deletion notice on it? This is a warning, if you continue this behavior you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. 68.174.254.72 (talk) 04:13, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like a good candidate for speedy deletion to me, not to mention it was already deleted once. Personally, I would have sent it to AfD so that it could be deleted as G4 next time, but a CSD tag is also a perfectly good way to go. Monty845 04:17, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I respectfully disagree. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.174.254.72 (talk) 04:23, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've been mentoring Jasper and, while he certainly has a way to go, he's learning a lot about how to be a good Wikipedian. In case something like this comes up again, I'd recommend trying to directly explain the issue, as he does respond very well to direct advice/explanation. WikiLove

Hey CrazyMonkey, Sorry to hear about your problems with the WikiLove script. I don't think anything's changed recently with the script so I'm not sure what would be causing the problem. What browser and version number are you using? If you happen to be using Firefox, do you have Firebug installed? That would help me to debug the problem. Unfortunately, I'm not going to have a lot of time to help with this in the near future since I'm at a conference in Berlin right now, and then next week I'm going to a conference in New York. But I'll do what I can. Kaldari (talk) 01:46, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can you go to the Add-ons menu in Firefox (under Tools) and install Firebug 1.7.0? This is a general debugging tool and will let you see more specifically what's going on when you try to leave an award with wikilove. After you install Firebug and restart Firefox, open up the Firebug console:
  1. Either click on the Firebug icon in the menubar or select "Firebug > Open Firebug" from the Tools menu
  2. Choose the Console tab in Firebug.
  3. It may ask you if you want to activate the console the first time you try it, choose activate.
  4. Go to your talk page and try to leave yourself a barnstar.
  5. Each request in the console will show up as either black for successful or red for failure. When you first click the wikilove icon, it should make a request visible in the console:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?&action=query&prop=info&intoken=edit&titles=Main%20Page&indexpageids&format=json
  6. When you click the Award barnstar button it should make another request.
Let me know what happens for you and then we can proceed with more detailed debugging. Kaldari (talk) 02:02, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

two confusing terms

I do not know what these two different terms mean. One is the block setting Anon. only. I have no idea what it does. I see it is usually used on IPs, but sometimes on new accounts. The other term is the edit filter term throttle. Could someone explain the two terms to me please. Crazymonkey1123 (Jacob) T or M/Sign mine 01:51, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Anon. only is applied just for IP addresses, and with it accounts could login and edit, without being affected by their IP's block.
Throttling, on the other hand, checks for the amount of triggers the filters get, after which they're activated. -- Mentifisto 02:02, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
So throttling means that it lets a user perform an action a certain amount of times without having the filter take action, right? Crazymonkey1123 public (talk) 20:00, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, "only if the same user is consistently tripping a particular filter, rather than a single false-positive" - it would only take action afterwards. -- Mentifisto 20:13, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot find any filter that revokes a users autoconfirmed status if they trip it. Does anyone know of any? Crazymonkey1123 (Jacob) T or M/Sign mine 04:32, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That almost sounds like a module that would have to be hard coded. I don't think abuse filter allows you to modify a user's rights, but, it's been quite a while since I've messed with it. I stand corrected... You can revoke auto-confirmed. This might be better discussed at the Edit Filter page so that others involved wit the Edit Filter can get involved in discussion or help you out, but I'll take a look in to this. The Biggest Loser: Couples 2

FYI, you accepted a pending revision which was vandalism on The Biggest Loser: Couples 2. We have a persistent Israeli vandal who has been IP hopping over a range of around a half million IP addresses, and always has the same target, which is the Biggest Loser articles. I would semi-protect this article, but it is somewhat convenient to have the vandalism contained to a single article. With no outlet, I wonder if he/she would just move on to a different article, which would not be as easy to track. The key clue here is the massive change of information about a show which concluded years ago. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 23:37, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

global roll backer

Hi, global roll backer is something to aspire to. But you will have to participate on many smaller wiki's like simple or wikibooks or other languages. See if you can spot the cross site spammers and vandals, this is where global roll back will help. If you think bits are out of reach, you could go for barnstars. AfC

Hi Jacob,

Have you used User:Timotheus Canens/afchelper4.js? If not you should, it makes AfC work a whole lot easier! Also with the David Rabin article, I'd like to make a few suggestions for any future AfCs you may move to the mainspace, don't forget to categorise them if the author has not, for David Rabin you should have added the birth and death categories (19xx births and 19xx deaths) and Category:Endocrinologists. Also the article should have been moved from "Dr. David Rabin" to "David Rabin" as titles don't belong in article titles. Do keep up the good work though! —James (TalkContribs)2:24pm 04:24, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You could use Huggle instead of Igloo, when I used Huggle and AfCHelper4 together, they worked without problem so maybe that would work. —James (TalkContribs)2:40pm 04:40, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
