Louis Leithold (16 November 1924 - 29 April 2005) was an American mathematician and teacher who was born in San Francisco and died in Los Angeles. he is best known for authoring The Calculus, a classical textbook about Calculus that had changed the methods for teaching it in American high schools and universities.
