 Not done In general, when evaluating a user's experience, I prefer not to consider edits made on different projects; however, even if I take into consideration your edits on commons, I count 17 edits to the File namespace there (22 according to this tool) and 7 here. Then I wonder why they recommend us to upload our images to wikimedia commons instead of here, ( if you are not taking it into account. ) Anyway, please reconsider your decision. This is not a negative mark, all it shows it a misunderstanding. To get the bit on en.wikipedia you would need to demonstrate knowledge of fair use. You are welcome to remove your request and its replies here. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:23, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

There should be a difference between complete lack of experience and lack of enough experience. We should think about the meaning of the words, before mentioning them in here. Specially, if we are not an admin, and this request is not related to us. In fact ( contact ) 10:55, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

What the user fails to understand is that I said almost complete lack of experience which does mean lack of enough experience. If you want to use words I say, copy paste the whole phrase, not just random words you like. Also, if we are not an admin: maybe that is why I used the {{nao}} template. And on a personal note, I do believe that a person should have a few {{Rename media}} contribs before asking for the right. Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 12:27, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

I am also not an admin, and I agree that you don't really meet the requirements this right. My standards are not that high, I want to see at least 50, preferably more, edits to the file namespace, working (but not necessarily expert) knowledge of FURs and the NFCC, and a lack of any recent image related warnings. A history at commons (including having the filemover right there), as well as mainspace page moving experience on Wikipedia, factor positively when I look at candidates. I really don't see the big deal here, it's certainly not worth screaming at Avenue X over. (BTW, I have a failed request for autopatrolled somewhere in my history, really this isn't a black mark at all.) Sven Manguard Wha? 02:20, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

I have been editing since actively since 2006 and am familiar with policy and guidelines around images and copyright. I have also done some bot work using this bot. Typically, I when I work with images, I do so on the Commons. I also note that Category:Wikipedia files requiring renaming is empty. Therefore this request is far from a must have. Rather, I expect it will be more a nice to have so that I could rename images I come across that could have better file names. RA (talk) 18:37, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
