An issue of Chesapeake Bay Magazine.

Chesapeake Bay Magazine is a monthly lifestyle magazine focused on boating and leisure in the Mid-Atlantic region. Articles include such topics as Cruise of the Month and boating destinations.^[1]^[2] Fishing, water sports, and sailing are also highlighted. Spotlights and boat reviews feature various types of boats such as Sport Yacht Cruisers, Center Consoles, and Classics & Customs. Showcase sections provide information on marinas, restaurants, and marine services.

Background

Based in Annapolis, Maryland, Chesapeake Bay Magazine is published by Dick Royer and edited by Tim Sayles. CBM's sister publication, Northeast Boating Magazine, which is based in Quincy, Massachusetts, is also published by Royer.

CBM produces an annual Cruise Guide^[3], an Intracoastal Waterway Facilities Guide, and operates Waterfronthome.net, a website focused on East Coast waterfront real estate.

CBM is a member of the International Regional Magazine Association.^[4]

Awards

Chesapeake Bay Magazine consistently earns top honors at the Boating Writers International "Excellence in Boating Journalism" contest. In 2008, CBM was recognized with 10 awards in 5 categories.^[5]

Other

In July 2008, Chesapeake Bay Magazine undertook its first major redesign in 7 years. With modifications to layout and design, including a refinement of the CBM logo, a cleaner, more uniform feel for the magazine was accomplished. A redesign of the CBM website is currently underway and will be completed in August.
