Please accept my apology if I've misunderstood, but your first few edits involved addition of a link to a commercial site, raising concerns about conflict of interest. In any case, the addition of external links to commercial sites is reserved for very specific situations, as described in our external links policy. I hope this helps. -- Scray (talk) 05:20, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

April 2011

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (UCLA Nursing) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because your username appears to represent an organization, which is not allowed. Please review the username policy linked here. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. Scray (talk) 05:17, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (UCLA Nursing) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. jsfouche ☽☾Talk 20:04, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
