Info

I've stopped using my real life ID due to inappropriate comments on wikipedia and some harassment off-wiki. I'd be grateful if you'd stop using it please. Wee Curry Monster talk 17:03, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK. There may be times when it's necessary to mention that the two identities are one person, but I will do my best. Richard Keatinge (talk) 17:11, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AE Courtesy Note

This is a courtesy note to let you know that you have been mentioned by name at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement#Result concerning Wee Curry Monster and a proposed user conduct solution has been posted. You are named in a proposed sanction.

If you have any response or objection, please note it at the request. Vassyana (talk) 03:55, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have altered my suggested remedy for Wee Curry Monster, based on your suggestion he should be allowed to continue in discussions. Please check the enforcement thread and share your thoughts. Vassyana (talk) 17:56, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comment about AE thread

A review of your 'recent' edits indicates a return to civility and focus on content. I commend that and highly recommend you continue down that road. It is best for everyone.

Your comments were a key factor in the degradation of the talk page environment from my outside perspective. That is why I crafted a named sanction. It is not a recent issue, so it was limited to a warning.

Consider the warning a note your comments in response to the bold edits and participation of WCM were over the line. Paragraphs about the incompetence of other editors, repeatedly bemoaning the presence of someone, etc is terrible form. It poisons the well and baits them into poor responses. Stick to the content on the article talk page. Use appropriate venues for user conduct to address those issues. If you find yourself arguing in circles, it would be best to seek out dispute resolution.

If you are ever unsure of the appropriate avenue, please ask me. I've been all over this place, from answering third opinion requests to serving on ArbCom. I'm sure I can usually point you towards a couple of avenues to resolve any outstanding issues. Vassyana (talk) 17:19, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Duly accepted. I will readjust my ideas of constructive discourse. Thanks for the offer of help in future. I hope I don't need to take you up on it, but you never know. Richard Keatinge (talk) 17:38, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the cordial response. I appreciate you taking the response and advice on-board. I know things can get frustrating at times, but try to stay focused on building the encyclopedia. Whether you need advice for user conduct or just some help sorting out content issues, let me know. I will honestly do my best to help resolve the situation.
