Defamation, perhaps?? And once again, MastCell decides by free will which source is reliable and which one not. The Microscopy Society of America is unreliable to you?? Defamation... Beware with your words, MastCell...

Etienne de Harven, MD is a Belgian-born virologist. Born in Brussels, he made most of his investigations in New York City, Paris and Toronto.[1][2] He worked on viruses associated with leukemia in mice.[3] Former President of the Microscopy Society of America, [4][5] he was part of Thabo Mbeki's Advisory Panel[6] and he is a known scientist of AIDS denialism community.[7]

De Harven obtained his medical degree in the University of Brussels, later working at the Institute of Cancer of Villejuif under Charles Oberling and Wilhelm Bernhard. He was subsequently hired by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. There, alongside Charlotte Friend, he investigated viruses. Later, he became professor of cell biology at the University of Cornell and later of pathology at the University of Toronto. As former President of the Microscopy Society of America, he did several research, mostly related to Cancer Pathologies and electron microscopy procedures for viral explorations.[8].

He expressed sympathy for AIDS Denialism hypothesis. Mostly in non-peer reviewed journals, he challenges both the real isolation and pathology of HIV.[9][10] He presented his own hypothesis that, instead of a retrovirus, HIV could be part of human endogenous retroviruses family.[11][12]
