My name is Mark Dobrowolski, and I am Canadian. I was born at 1985-07-31T13:49Z. I'm three-quarters Polish, one-quarter Italian. I live in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. I attend the University of Toronto at Mississauga, and I study physics and computer science. I plan to be a weather forecaster. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test says I am borderline INTP/ISTP (Introvert iNtuitive/Sensing Thinking Perceiving). Political Compass says I'm on the libertarian left (graph).

Markaci

Markaci is my third online pseudonym. I started out as "machogogo" (abbreviated as 'mgg'), which was the name of a stuffed animal this one girl in elementary school had. I had a crush on this girl (nothing happened). I later found out that it means "strong girl" in Georgian. I switched to "markogogo" to include my real name. However, it still contained "girl".

I changed to Markaci circa September 16, 2003. "Markaci" is a portmanteau of my real name and the Georgian word for man, "kaci". It is pronounced 'mar-KAH-see'. Some people still call me by previous names because they like them better. I still use 'mgg' when names are limited to 3 characters. However, whenever possible I use Markaci.

I'm a perfectionist, so my contributions consist of many spelling/grammar fixes, copy edits, wikifications, and reverts. Sometimes I add actual content, but it depends on how I feel (lazy versus motivated). If I create an article, it probably has something to do with Canada. I see a lot of bias towards the United States.

I often vote on Articles for Deletion, but not very often on other votes. I do not join WikiProjects because I'd feel obligated to do things I don't want to do. I do, however, keep WikiProjects on my watchlist and participate when I feel like it.

My signature, including timestamp, is custom. I don't use ~~~~ because I can't customize the timestamp portion. Instead, I use JavaScript (/monobook.js) to switch the plain insertion of --~~~~ with my own signature on the toolbar signature button. The markup of my signature is on the right. Line breaks are used for increased readability.

I wanted something that wouldn't have a large footprint, but was still easy to read and understand. For my username, I tried various combinations, but I settled on dividing my pseudonym into syllables. The timestamp portion came later, after I questioned Mzajec about his unique signature. My only criticism about this custom timestamp (other than the inability to set it in preferences) is that {{CURRENTDAY}} doesn't conform to ISO 8601 — in particular, the absence of the leading zero when it's only one digit.
