Hi Piotrus. I've restored the image. Please add it to an article or two and add fair use rationales, or it might be deleted again. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 20:49, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Social Democrats, USA

I have replied to your comment at the DYK board. Although I agree that using that version as a benchmark may be a good idea, I still count only a 3.2x expansion so far. Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:21, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Biographies

Would you look at the DYK nomination again. OCNative directs me to remove the biographies from the article, which would make it impossible to tell the story of the aid to Solidarity---the hook.

(It would also destroy the context of several generations of political activists who worked together on civil rights and human rights (anti-communism), and who today are vilified on the Internet by conspiracy weirdos of the left and right.)

Best regards,  Kiefer.Wolfowitz 11:48, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tom Kahn

Thanks for your DYK suggestions, which I followed. The DYK nomination should be easy to find, at the bottom of the page. Best regards,  Kiefer.Wolfowitz 11:27, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Check, please"

Would you please consider adding an official check? Thanks!  Kiefer.Wolfowitz 09:12, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WikiCup 2011 May newsletter

We're half way through round 3 of the 2011 WikiCup. There are currently 32 remaining in the competition, but only 16 will progress to our penultimate round. Scotland Casliber (submissions), of pool D, is our overall leader with nearly 200 points, while pools A, B and C are led by Texas Racepacket (submissions), Zanzibar Hurricanehink (submissions) and Saskatchewan Canada Hky (submissions) respectively. The score required to reach the next round is 35, though this will no doubt go up significantly as the round progresses. We have a good number of high scorers, but also a considerable number who are yet to score. Please remember to submit content soon after it is promoted, so that the judges are able to review entries. Also, an important note concerning nominations at featured article candidates: if you are nominating content for which you intend to claim WikiCup points, please make this clear in the nomination statement so that the FAC director and his delegates are aware of the fact.

A running total of claims can be seen here. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. DYK nomination of University of the Western Lands

Hello! Your submission of University of the Western Lands at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Yoninah (talk) 23:52, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I checked and I'm still listed in group two instead of group one.

Thanks for asking. I just looked and I'm in group two but I want to be in group one as I have been working with them. [[[User:Brucesbeckerman|Brucesbeckerman]] (talk) 02:09, 1 June 2011 (UTC)][reply]

I've started the GA review at Talk:Polish legislative election, 1957/GA2. Mostly grammar comments and reference tweaking. Ajh1492 (talk) 00:05, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I made a couple additions - you had a bad link and didn't fill out the election infobox completely. Ajh1492 (talk) 23:51, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for the help with referencing, that will be a big help moving forward. --Rsoruss (talk) 19:57, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Great, thanks again! I was having trouble fixing the ref, even after going over the reference help pages a few times, but now I think I've finally fixed it.--Rsoruss (talk) 20:39, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate the additional feedback on the history section -- I'll see to it that the distinction and connection between social media and social web are made more apparent. I capitalized social media because the author of one of the references does so, but I'll fix that as well. However, at the moment our group is facing a bit of a problem: it seems our article has been put up for some sort of review (potentially deletion?!) and we cannot edit it at the moment. I'm not sure how to proceed at this point; do you think this is short term or are we effectively locked out of the article for what looks to be like a long period of time? --Rsoruss (talk) 00:47, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see the mistake I made -- It's interesting to note what an effect one letter can have! Yes, I was experimenting with the multiple page referencing template, which I'll now be more careful about inputing in the future. Thank you for correcting it!! I was certainly worried there for a second myself--Rsoruss (talk) 01:06, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

personal history

hello, I just viewed my personal history and it doesn't include any of my edits to the economic globalization page. Is this right? or should I be able to view that I edited that page? --Kas205 (talk) 01:43, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio template redo?

Hi, Piotrus. :) We are trying to soften the copyright problem template without losing valuable information from it. As I recall, you expressed an interest in that before. The mock-up of the new template is at User:MLauba/Copyviocore, and explanation for some of the changes is at that talk page. If you'd like to give feedback at that talk page, it would be appreciated. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:30, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WP:DYKs

Thanks for congratulations. I hope that wasn't my last GA article :) May be it would be Stefan Kunicki. Next time I will remember about WP:DYKs. Regards Kmicic (talk) 13:39, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cimochowski

Thank you for your comment. It was the least I could do for him. I've read some of his works and I think that he was a great linguist. I'll try to make it DYK, as soon as I find other materials on him. I think that the catch for DYK could be: Do you know that ..........."The description of Dushmani dialect made by Polish linguist Cimochowski, was the first full description of the non-literary types of the Albanian language...". Anyway I will look for more sources on him. Regards Aigest (talk) 20:39, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Polish legislative election, 1957 you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Polish legislative election, 1957 for comments about the article. Well done! Ajh1492 (talk) 20:46, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio of your original photograph by scammers

I'm guessing you'd enjoy sending a DMCA takedown notice to the web host of this site that is using your photo without attribution: URL:http://detoxifynow.com/alkaline_water.html. Accessed: 2011-06-05. (Archived by WebCite® at http://www.webcitation.org/5zDVwf6NC) Am I right? --Elvey (talk) 15:21, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops; never mind, I think. I was referring to the one of Dr Ray Kurzweil. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Raymond_Kurzweil_Fantastic_Voyage.jpg says: "Note: moved from en-Wikipedia, where it was first uploaded by me on 20:15, July 5, 2005. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 5:05 am, 2 January 2008, Wednesday (3 years, 5 months, 3 days ago) (UTC−8)" which I misread to mean you were the photographer, not just the uploader. --Elvey (talk) 17:10, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
