The Earl of St. Andrews, George Philip Nicholas Windsor, is the son of the present Duke of Kent. The title is a subsidiary title of his father, and George holds it by courtesy as the heir of the dukedom.

The Earl of St. Andrews lost his right of succession (otherwise 23rd) because he married a divorced and Roman Catholic lady, Sylvana Palma Tomaselli in Edinburgh on January 9, 1988.

He is a trustee of charity SOS Children's Villages UK.
