Such little expertise as I had is now fading. Since retirement some years ago, I've had little incentive to keep the mind ticking over and, more to the point, I no longer have ready access to useful libraries (the old, hard copy things now going out-of-fashion). I'll chip in at a conceptual level on many academic topics because that knowledge hasn't gone past its sell-by date, but don't expect anything terribly contemporary out of me. I'm reasonably good on music and some genres of fiction and, of course, my search skills on the net are quite good.

The latest story I have to write is all about TV. Face it, 30 Percent
of us watch plenty of TV each day. It was meant mainly for entertainment, but
it also brings You the latest news and information. After a while,
You decide to get cable. In fact, 9 out of 10 people have cable TV Some
buy there own equipment for a few hundred dollars while others subscribe
to there local cable company. Jamal's father is thinking about getting
Cable TV. Well before He does, maybe I should tell Him of that event, where
something entirely unexpected came on our cable signal.

If I get things wrong, just tell me. Otherwise, I'll just potter along as a bottom feeder, hoping no-one will notice me too much.
