I understand from discussions and remarks on the Dutch Wikipedia that the number of volunteers working on OTRS is not enough tot ensure quick response. Although I do not have too much time available, I would like to help out occasionally. I am active on nl.wikipedia since 2005 and became sysop in 2006. I am also active on other wikipedia's and commons. [[User:Magalhães|Magalhães]] 08:36, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi all! Conveniently, I think that one of my few skills in life is being able to work with people diplomatically. For that reason, if there's a need for volunteers, I'd be happy to put my knowledge forth by helping out with incoming tickets. I'll be happy to answer any questions, thanks for your consideration, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 19:44, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I'll note that access would sometimes help in dealing with copyright-deletion concerns as an en-wiki administrator - but this is a minor point, best regards! Arbitrarily0 (talk) 19:44, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Question: Have you, or do you intend to, apply for access to Checkuser and/or Oversight in the upcoming elections at enwiki? Daniel (talk) 21:44, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Although I have not yet decided, I am currently considering applying for the oversight permission election (but not checkuser). I'm guessing there'll be some candidates with more experienced credentials, so my chances of taking on the oversight responsibility wouldn't be huge - but I'd be glad to make a decision on applying if it would be of help to this application. Just let me know, take care! Arbitrarily0 (talk) 00:40, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not at all, it matters none - it was more just to assuage my curiosity :) Daniel (talk) 03:03, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to help out on OTRS because I hear there is a long backlog in dealing with image permissions: I've 4½ year's experience on enwiki, much of it related to copyright questions. Physchim62 12:43, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to help out on OTRS because I'm sure you can always need some extra help. I'm a CommComm member and I've been editing en.wp since 2003 and en.wn since 2005. I was formerly a OTRS answerer, but I was a little too blunt with some people. I'll promise to stick with preset messages primarily, only writing individualized messages on a rare basis, with gentleness in mind. -- Zanimum 16:47, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Note, while I'm on CommComm, I don't want access to the press queue. (If I remember correctly, OTRS people only got access to particular queues.) I'd really only consider myself useful to info-en. -- Zanimum 16:49, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to help out on OTRS because I've been a frequent user and an editor at Wikipedia and have an outside experience in copyright infringement laws, I would so much like to help Wikipedia with the whole process. Though there might be more experienced editors than me I strongly have the will to make Wikipedia a most valuable and reliable source of information

    • Hi, Pmlineditor. Thanks for your comment, but this is not really a vote. While comments about users are helpful, the OTRS administrators are easily able to determine the level of contribution of existing users and base ability on that. And while this user may be unsuitable for certain queues, he or she may have an expertise on some subject that may only be determined vis-a-vis an email exchange with an OTRS administrator, or have external customer service experience that isn't noted here. bastique demandez! 17:42, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to help out on OTRS because I feel capable to attend the permissions emails, to properly tag and I want to be more useful there. I can reply quickly and I'm most involved on Wikinews and the Simple English Wikipedia. Thanks in advance. Diego Grez let's talk 22:19, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I oppose it. User still immature, just a few weeks ago was still blocked on severalmajor projects (he's been renamed from MisterWiki), one of them (commons) precisely for faking permission licenses [5], so I don't feel comfortable he processing permissions from OTRS. es:Drini 23:18, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
