Global rollback for Ezarate
- Global user: Ezarate (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
I am sysop on eswiki and commonswiki, I was rollbacker so long time ago and now I'd like combatting vandalism crosswiki and this tool may revert the edits quickly. Regards!!!--Esteban 22:49, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

- Support, trusted user. Even if he doesn't have 1,000,000 global reverts he will obviously use the tools well. Ajraddatz (Talk) 22:52, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

- Support, good idea to help in cross-wiki stuff ;-) -- Quentinv57 (talk) 05:06, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
- Weak oppose. Maybe I am the only one, but I don't see this user as "active in cross-wiki countervandalism" and he doesn't "make heavy use of revert on many wikis" after checking cross-wiki edits. Outside of major and Spanish wikis, I see some interwiki fixing, edits on userpage or related with his bot, but very few antivandalism-related edits. Per policy, some evidence of this activity should be provided on this request. Being trusted (as he is for sure) is not enough to have this tool; some experience on foreign wikis is definitely a requirement.” Teles (T @ L C S) 05:41, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

- Support One question though; when were you a global rollbacker? (I can't find it in the logs.) Trijnstel 19:53, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
- Support: he says he wants to help small projects and there's indeed some cross-wiki activity which shows an authentic interest; he's a sysop so we know that he knows the tools; rollback is needed for sysops, who are frustrated by the "undo" ;-): so let's give him a possibility, there's no room for damage. - Support Having considered the crosswikiness of the candidate's history and their trust via way of flags I support them for global rollback. fr33kman 20:15, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
- Neutral although you're trusted and rollback is not a significative right, I agree with Teles. Striker talk 20:35, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
- Support A user with two sysop flags, one on a highly multilingual project, asking for a basic anti-vandalism tool. The edits aren't numerous, but he's clearly competent, and this flag is rather minor. Courcelles 21:06, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

- Support sysop and trusted user. Well, that's enough and will be helpful to enhance other WP, I think no need for more conditions. Sean 21:27, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

- Neutral. The first thing I would like to make clear is that I trust Ezarate, however, I don't see myself able to support him due to his lack of cross-wiki experience. In what I see in his global contribs, he has mostly undone the edits of two spamming IP's on the article of FIFA cross-wiki. This, however, doesn't prove he is able to work in multilingual wikis. Through his other contribs, I have found undo's such as this one. It is quite clear that the user wants to remove the hidden English translation, as the article is already translated. Another example is frwikiquote, where he undid the edits of an IP removing a non-exitant template. A GR should be more careful when using his rollback tool, and verify he has reverted correctly. My last concern is, that even though the long-time activity on his home projects, he only really has been active in the SWMT since 7 october. I don't think it is possible to judge if a user will use tool correctly on a less than three days activity basis. I'd be happy to support later, when more experience is acquired. - Done First, there is a clear consensus that Ezarate can be trusted with the global rollback tool. Second, while he has an extensive cross-wiki experience (including adminship on Commons – a multilingual project), it is primarily not in the area of counter-vandalism or anti-spam activity. Several participants of this discussion opposed based on the latter criterion. Nevertheless, overall consensus seems to be that Ezarate should be given a chance to demonstrate that he is capable of using global rollback responsibly, by giving him this tool.
