Hello!

Some days ago I've contacted User:Matanya about this global lock which unfortunately affected also the participation of user Vapmachado on Portuguese Wikibooks. On his reply, he said I could ask you to review the action. Before contacting you, I've asked other editors from Portuguese Wikibooks if they would be favorable to this block being removed on that project, so that the user could continue editing and participating of ptwikibooks both on content development (in a wikibook on Logistics) and discussions about the organization of the project. As you can check here (it is in Portuguese, but I think it can be understood using machine translation), other active users are also favorable to the unblock, so I would like to request if you could help us with this.

Have a nice weekend,

A few of the images uploaded to Meta are tagged presumed GFDL. Yours are:

It's been noted at Meta:Requests_for_deletion#Template:GFDL-presumed that this is not an ideal situation. If you'd be willing to modify the licenses on your contributions in particular, it would be appreciated. We would also, of course, appreciate it if you could give some advice in that discussion about how we might best handle this situation. Thanks! Kylu 03:06, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Compte global

Bonjour, Anthere. Merci d'avance ! Question

Bonjour. Lmaltier 07:22, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Boarding

Thank you for the note! I am sure I will be verry sympathetic with you before that time is up.

I was just browsing old passionate mailing list threads. It seems to me being a board member is easier than it once was, in more ways than one. There may be more material to keep up with, but I can just read through a dozen of your long email considerations or Erik's meisterplans posted here or on f-l and find half of them as useful and valid as they ever were, and bear repeating. So the background noise of daily work can be "picking up pieces and conversations already started", not building from scratch.

And how are you?

Asking fm UkrWiki

Best greeting from Ukraine. I'm UkrWiki's sysop uk:Користувач:Turzh, but now I'm writing this fm usual ip-adress, because after recent software reloading I can't log in under my original nick. I do really understand that I may address this not to correspondent person but I sincerely want to renovate my real username & keep participating in Wikipedia. Please give me helping hand. Thanks in advance. --93.73.23.176 20:52, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bonne chance :) Anthere

Planed Chapters Wikimedia CAT

Hi Florence. I see my comment was not clear enought and you chaged it. Thanks for clarification but I think it is not clear enought yet. I have copied here the official response received from Wikimedia France and made a reference to it here instead of this comment. I think this is the most precise way to express the exact answer given. I hope you haven’t any objection with doing this way. By the way I amb waiting for an answer to the Comentius proposal I mailed you, please tell me something. --Gomà 10:30, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Interview

Dear Anthere,

I am a researcher of ICT, who are studying Wikimedia local chapter now. I traced some discussions you involved about local chapter policies. Would you please accept my email interview? My email address is zeyi.he@googlemail.com. Thanks. Zeyi 15:31, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Anthere, what's this? An English abstract would be useful, or at least some category (I can't figure what to add), otherwise it's impossible to find this page and hence quite useless to keep it. :-) Moreover, one linked page has been deleted. Thank you, Nemo 16:05, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. Hmmm, well, no big deal. It mostly was one of the place where we used to tracked user:papotages, a really really painful user. I moved it to my space, that's the easiest thing to do. Thanks Anthere

My page was blocked by User:Kylu

Hi Anthere, the last time, I asked you for help, was in a conflict in the german chapter five years ago. This conflict is still going on. Since that time (2005) nearly all german participants from a liberal tolerant democratic wing in the german chapter are thrown out by the same right authoritarian crowd, a group of admins in the german chapter, which I call the Flachtellerfraktion. The last days I set up a server, discribing the worsest cases in the german chapter [1]. Five years ago I went into exile to the french chapter, when the so called community (in fact Burschenschafter and their supporters) in germany tried five times to make a Scherbengericht to block my user account. At the end (after a vote frauded election) the Burschenschafter-crowd did not reach 2/3 of the votes, which the rules prescribed, but some overruled (Leon, Entlinkt) and nevertheless blockaded my account. In between user elian, perhaps you know, went into intern exile in the german chapter. Others, like Brummfuss, Widescreen, GLGerman, Simplicius, Lysis, RomanC, Soziallotse (†), Sonnenblumen, Jesusfreund, Carbidfisher, Hubertl, Historiograf, Liberaler Humanist (significant part of the names list are members of the so called Diderot-Club, a former french encyclopaedist) are under heavy attack by an intolerant right-wing crowd. The reason I write here is: my user page on meta was blocked by user Kylu (Kylu called it protection), because I complained on my page about the situation in the german chapter. I think, that my writings are covered by the target of meta user pages and is closely to Wikipedia's goals, as demanded here. What is your opinion about all that? Kind Regards, Thomas7 21:27, 2 September 2010 (UTC) PS: pardon for my bad english and please recognize, that the meanings of yockels and Bauerntölpel is a little different in both languages. Please look here too. unsigned by Thomas7 on 22:16, 2 September 2010.[reply]

Thomas7 has been indefinitely blocked on Meta (see block log). —Pathoschild 22:23:37, 03 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If discussion pages are not the place of free words, then it should mentioned on sites with unbiased discussion protocols. Thomas7 on 17:57, 6 September 2010 CET local time
Thomas7's new sock blocked, indefinitely. Apparently he's unable to partake in community discussions and refuses to stop linking to his blacklist blog. Kylu 23:06, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem with File:ChapterMeeting2010.pdf

Thank you for uploading File:ChapterMeeting2010.pdf. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

I run into this message by you and I loved it, so I went to MeatBall:CommunityMember to copy something in it and I found that almost everything is already there. Did you add it? :-) --Nemo 10:45, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lol. That's funny because I spent quite a lot of time on meatball wiki in the past few days, preparing a tough presentation. I have not yet found by the way what I was looking for (I remember an article about the life cycle of a wiki community), but then I started following a link, then another, and yet another.... and I forgot my original goal....
I have honestly NO memory if I copied that there. It might be there because I contributed a little bit to meatball wiki. Not much though, I dared not really do it. So I am not convinced I did. However, I see that Martin Harper commented on that page and Martin was an active member of the English Wikipedia at that time and we discussed together more than once. He may have added some of the stuff there, such as part of my original email. That's unfortunate there is no complete history on meatball wiki pages. I *know* I wrote some stuff there, but I do not really remember what. I also remember a long essay I also wrote at CommunityWiki, but ... where is it ? what was its title ? I do not remember.... it was about conflict I think.
On meatball wiki, they did not like me participating too much because they wanted people to be under their real name entirely, or IP only. And back in 2002-2003, I absolutely did not want my real name on the Internet. So, most of my contribs there were under IP per their request. Though I nevertheless created a page for me which was tolerated. See my page.
I love to know that some people are digging in the past :) Anthere
Actually, I think CliquesAndCommunities is part or most of what I actually wrote there. I recognise part of my personal bad English writing there :))) Anthere
Oh, yes, MeatBall is addicting! I had read your user page... it's a pity.
Life cycle? Perhaps MeatBall:WikiLifeCycle (with a bunch of links)? There's also MeatBall:CommunityRoles (I love both). Currently we have problems with the decreasing effects of MeatBall:MetcalfesLaw and the MeatBall:CommunityMayNotScale (community did not scale) on bigger projects, and viceversa the problem that some small wikis never benefited from the MetcalfesLaw; and there are always temptations of a MeatBall:GatedCommunity (FlaggedRevs?). --Nemo 19:06, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nod. That was the WikiLifeCycle I was thinking of :) I realise some pages have changed quite a lot since those time I was frequent there. Such as the CommunityRoles page. Very good, I need to dig again from time to time :) Anthere

Merci:)

Thanks for the note Florence ..really appreciated :). --Melamrawy (WMF) 21:06, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Local unblock
