Hi. I saw this edit also. Suite101.com was a source of massive spamming (hundreds of links spammed by multiple Suite101.com editors) on en.wikipedia as well as being cross-wiki spammed across many other projects. In the course of investigating the whole affair, it turned out that Suite101.com:
  • Has no editorial oversight and articles are essentially self-published.
  • Offers its authors financial incentives to increase page views
  • Fails core content policies:
Other Wikimedia projects have similar requirements (such as es:WP:VER and es:WP:NFP).
Previous Suite101.com discussions (this is just a partial list):
There's been strong consensus over the last 21 months to keep this domain blacklisted. We continue to get Suite101.com editors trying to get their domains whitelisted. I'd expect another deluge of unreliable spam if we removed this one.

I've reverted myself, but I think in this case you're wrong guys, all the links and spam complains come from enwiki, so that should be blacklisted at enwiki level and not at global. I went back through the old discussions. There was not a cross-wiki search then, so searching was project-by-project. Problems of Zhuang Wikipedia

Hello, Drini. I am a native Zhuang language speaker. I’ve recently seen the Zhuang version of wikipedia (za.wikipedia.org). But I found that the former editor of this main page didn’t use the standard zhuang but an orthography based on his/or her dialect. I think it’s not agreeable for using alternative spelling system in Wikipedia. I would liker to change it into standard zhuang, but l found the main page is locked by you in 2007. Solicité que se hiciese "blacklist" localmente en tr.wiki pero todavía no lo han hecho y de esto hace ya más de 3 días. Los enlaces siguen apareciendo y apareciendo y parece imparable. Dudas con la licencia doble

Hola Drini, acudo aquí para hacerte unas consultas con respecto de la doble licencia aprobada,

  • Como afecta en commons, digo, porque ¿si o si todos los contenidos multimediales tendrán que tener la doble licencia?
  • Tengo mis dudas con Wikisource, sería posible que tenga excepciones si la comunidad local de Wikisource así lo decide, por ejemplo, la mayoría de los textos originales de informática están en GFDL, entonces con esta reforma, estarán prohibidos estos contenidos, y me parece que nbo sería justo.
  • En Wikinews, supongo que la licencia actual es compatible con al doble licencia no?

Hola Drini. Hace unos días, en la Wikipedia en español, te descubrí varios títeres del usuario Molinosdeviento. Como te dije, este usuario se ha pasado a la Wikipedia en extremeño, donde está causando numerosos problemas. El otro día, nuestro bibliotecario (çajoril) le dio un ultimátum, pero desgraciadamente su situación personal le impide acceder a diario a la Güiquipeya. El comportamiento del vándalo, lejos de mejorar, ha pasado a ser insoportable, borrando incluso mensajes de aviso que di al biblio, editando de forma descontrolada en las páginas de discusión y haciendo caso omiso a los avisos y consejos que se le dan. Es una situación insostenible. Por ello, te pregunto si como stwart de Wikimedia puedes bloquear indefinidamente a este usuario hasta que nuestro biblio tome una decisión y, de ser así, te pido por favor que lo hagas, pues es una pesadilla ver como destruye de forma tan descarada el trabajo ajeno. Si necesitas más pruebas concretas (diffs) o lo que sea, házmelo saber y las tendrás de inmediato. Si no estás autorizado u optas por no proceder al bloqueo, lo entenderé. Cuando el biblio tome una decisión definitiva, te la haré saber. No creo que haya dudas, y menos teniendo en cuenta las pruebas aportadas y el historial del usuario, pero cuando ese día llegue te haré sabedor de la nueva situación para que veas que no es un ataque personal ni una caza de brujas como él dice. Además del vandalismo puro y duro de las últimas ediciones, existía un desconocimiento total del extremeño, de las normas de estilo, del significado de fuente primaria, de que las talk pages no son foros ni chats... Todo esto no es problema, porque se puede ir aprendiendo: el problema viene cuando no se tiene intención de cambiar ni dejarse enseñar, haciendo caso omiso a los consejos (cosa que no ha cambiado desde que empezó a editar en la es.wk, por lo que me pregunto si algún día le dejarán editar alguna).
Me gustaría saber una última cosa antes de dejarte tranquilo: ¿Puede seguir editando? He visto que ha hecho alguna edición después del bloqueo de lo que supongo que es su IP: ¿Puede editar cualquier artículo o sólo las discusiones de las páginas de usuario?

Buenas drini, soy uno de los sysop de la ext.wiki; bueno, te comento, los usuarios El tiu Cancho y Molinumdeventum llevan unas semanitas de "disputas" entre ellos. Soy consciente del historial de Molinumdeventum en la es.wiki, pero bueno, hasta ahora en la ext.wiki no me parece que haya sido un gran problema. Así pues, he creido conveniente bloquearle por 3 días debido a que ya tenía una serie de avisos, por la siguiente edición en mi página de usuario [2]. Por otra parte, El tiu Cancho se ha llevado su primer aviso por hacer lo mismo [3]. El bloqueo no es permanente porque quiero creer que ha sido un error, aunque sirve como "ultimatum". Ayuda en la Wikipedia en Ladino

Hola Drini,

Escribo para mostrarte una situación que está ocurriendo en la Wikipedia en Ladino y quizás puedas ayudar. El 20 de Agosto yo me propuse para ser Administrador, siguiendo las reglas que están escritas en la misma página de Candidaturas. Como pasó tiempo y nadie comentaba nada, le escribí a dos administradores (Chabi y Taichi) a ver si se podía hacer algo al respecto. Taichi importó unas plantillas y tal, pero Chabi me puso los botones de Administrador de una vez. En su respuesta, Taichi primero que me regañó, como si yo tomé la decisión. Segundo, me amenazó con llevar el caso hasta Meta. Yo no me puedo poner los botones solo y OK, si Chabi saltó las normas al dármelos sin un consenso, bien, que me los quiten. Pero cómo explicas que de 8 Administradores, hay 4 que tienen 1, 2, 3 y hasta casi 4 años sin contribuir en nada a la Wikipedia en ladino? Yo contribuyo dentro de lo que puedo, sobre todo corrigiendo errores ortográficos en las plantillas, porque gracias a D"s tengo el dominio del idioma desde joven. Si se somete a votación, cuantos años pasaran hasta que el 75% de los Administradores voten?

Hola Drini, soy Diego Grez y tu ya me conoces desde algún tiempo. Vine hasta aquí solo para pedir disculpas por todas las idioteces que hago. Si bien yo comencé haciendo tonteras a los 11 años, yo no tenía idea de nada de lo que significaba copyright y mucho menos de las reglas de Wikipedia, como la de cuentas de usuario adicionales. Fue mi equivocación y me ha costado caro. Para mí, los sitios de la fundación Wikimedia han sido un escape a mi rutina, algo mas que solo una entretención. Me bloqueó hace 2 años en el wiki en español, si bien, yo se que lo que hice fue mal, pero a esa edad yo no sabía bien que era lo que hacía. Desde que he vuelto a Wikipedia en noviembre, me decidí por ser un buen y constructivo editor. Tal vez yo te fastidié algunas veces con mis niñerías pero por favor, dale una oportunidad a este chico, que ahora sabe muy bien lo que hace. En mí puedes encontrar un amigo, no un enemigo. Script

Hola Drini. Creo que el otro día te dije que te iba a pasar el script para la limpieza del registro de lock/hide:

Sólo funciona en el registro de administración de cuentas globales, añadiendo al lado del (show/hide) otros dos botoncitos, quedando (show/hide | fastDel | fastOS).

  • fastDel oculta la acción de la vista de todos excepto para administradores y demás y añade una razón por defecto para el borrado.
  • fastOS oculta la acción de la vista de todos excepto para stewards y oversighters y también añade una razón por defecto para la supresión (que queda registrada aquí).

Let us leave aside the fact that you are from this region on the Balkan pæninsula. By your edit you violated at least two wiktionary rules - the first (which is similar to the practice established on various language editions of wikipedia) it the inadmissibility of an IP's or other user's editing of a certain user's (Sokac121 in this case) own user page. The second (and here is the slight difference in comparison with wikipedia) is that on user pages users are expected to insert only content related to and relevant with regard to their activity and by no means propagate controversial content. Another consideration is that mine actions on Wiktionary cannot possibly violate regulations from Wikipedia in the English language, since Wiktionary is a distinct and disparate project. Thus, I stand by my decision, which has obviously been met with assent on our Beer Parlour. Furthermore, your block has expired and you evidently do not need help. Adminship in smaller Wikipedias

Hello, Drini. I heard that in smaller Wikipedias one can become a permanent sysop only after successful temporary adminship. In Tibetan Wikipedia there is a user who was granted temporary sysop rights that expired more than a week ago. Now I am the only sysop here. The user I am talking about is very active and he coped with duties of the admin quite well. Therefore I would like him to become a permanent sysop. Should we make a formal voting, or is it only possible to become a sysop with permanent rights after being a temporary sysop for 2 times? Hola Drini! Soy usuario de la wikipedia en espanol e ingles, en la primera ya he logrado un renombre de mi nick y en la segunda acabo de hacer la solicitud. Tambien soy un colaborador de dos wikipedia menores la de quechua y aymara (en la que tambien soy admin temporal), ahora que deseo unificar mi nuevo nick por motivos que es el que uso en todas mis demas cuentas personales, quisiera tambien ser renombrado en las wikipedia quechua y aymara, sin embargo me parece que al ser wikipedias menores los administradores alli no cuenta con la capacidad para realizar dicha accion (por lo menos yo no puedo en la wikipedia en aymara), razon por la cual te consulto como steward para que me asesores y si pudieras renombraras mis cuentas en esas dos wikis.
